Washing of the system of air-conditioning

After replacement of the compressor it is necessary to wash out the system of air-conditioning as decline of productivity of the system from a dust or alien substances may take place. The material on procedure of realization of washing of the system below is resulted.

Attention: Before the beginning of realization of the works connected to system of conditioning, it is necessary to familiarize with the safety precautions described in the first chapter of the second part of this book.

At replacement of the compressor for prevention of decline of productivity from a dust or other alien substances and corking of the system, it is necessary to make washing of the system.

Washing

  1. In the way described earlier to pump out the refrigerant from the system of air-conditioning.
  2. After having disconnected all connecting parts of lines of the system to remove and not to use any more sealing rings.
  3. To remove expansion tube or expansion valve; if they are polluted, to wash them out or replace.
  4. After having closed all valves of a manometer, to connect it to capacity R-11.

Attention: Freon - gas R-11 needs to be used only for washing of the system of air-conditioning. At washing system of conditioning safety measures are required.

  1. In the bottom refueling aperture of the evaporator slowly, increasing pressure, they fill R-11 until from the top exhaust outlet R-11 is pouring out.
  2. Input R-11 is continued before full filling an interior of the evaporator. And when from the top exhaust outlet a plenty of a liquid is pouring out, the valve is closed. Then having waited for 5 minutes, let out liquid R-11.
  3. Repeating items 5 and 6, they wash out the condenser. Thus, release is also carried out after 5 minutes.
  4. If necessary, they wash out also the compressor. For this purpose:
    • having opened a drain fuse of the crack case, they merge oil;
    • through a drain aperture of the crack case, they fill in the liquid R-11;
    • on a direction of a hour hand they rotate the muff on 1-2 revolutions;
    • after 5 minutes of a pause they merge liquid R-11 from the compressor.
  5. After having closed all hoses and lines, using a cup which was dressed on a new hose of the conditioner, they put in the liquid R-11 in sufficient amount for removal of alien substances and after 5 minutes of a pause is merged.
  6. With the help of the refrigerant R-12 they completely delete R-11 stayed in components of the system.

Attention: Removal of R-11 from the staying components is an important point. Otherwise, it is possible to damage the compressor or productivity of the conditioner will decrease.

    • for full removal of R-11 from the system, the temperature of components should be as a minimum above 24°С;
    • it is possible to reduce time of removal of R-11 by applying heating lamps in the compressor, the evaporator and the condenser;
    • after full release of R-11 from the system if after check there will be a pressure approximately 30 minutes it is necessary to continue work on release.
  1. To replace the accumulator and a receiver - dehydrator.
  2. After dipping in refrigerant oil they install a new expansion tube, expansion valve and sealing rings.
  3. After work on air exhaust, after having filled a small amount of the refrigerant, at first it is necessary to carry out check on outflow. If thus, all is normal, to fill the required amount of the refrigerant.
