Functions carried out by the ACC system

This chapter is completely devoted to functions which are carried out by ACC system, on maintenance of the adjusted microclimate in the automobile interior.

Thermal control of suction air temperature

At receipt of a signal in a computer about the desirable chosen temperature, temperature of internal air, temperature of external air, solar energy, the computer counts up temperature and amount of air of suction apertures at present. On the basis of necessary temperature of suction air they make decision in which suction aperture which amount of air is necessary to deliver.

Regulation of air amount

Manual regulation.

Dependence of the fan speed on the required temperature of suction air

 

Automatic control.

  • Regulation of necessary temperature of suction air. At FAN AUTO according to necessary temperature of air automatically there gradually changes the speed in the direction of the specified, as the purpose, pressure. And in case of needed fast cooling at start of the engine during the summer period, etc., the fan e rotates even more strongly.
  • Compensation on solar energy. It adjusts air amount depending on amount of a solar energy.
  • Dependence of compensation voltage on the automobile speed
  • Compensation on the automobile speed. Through receipt of external air it carries out adjustment on the certain amount of air by measurement of the enclosed pressure of the air blower electric motor depending on speed of the automobile moving with receipt of external air.

Attention: At "ON" IGNITION in case of being inside the hysteresis the condition "O" is set up.

 

Fan regulation at А/С start

Dependence of wind blower’s pressure on time

At А/С start for prevention of sharp rotation of the fan, at first 5 seconds, they compel to rotate in the constant speed, after that gradually changing, adjust the fan.

Attention: The schedule is given when the mode is set up:

  • Ventilation - automatic;
  • Final aperture — AUTO VENT, AUTO B/L;
  • Air- conditioner - started.

 

Thermal regulation (regulation of air stream movement)

Dependence of the fan pressure on the engine temperature

It is the system for restraint of causeless output of a cold air stream from suction apertures during the winter period when the the temperature of a cooling liquid is low and there is still no necessary warm air. Therefore, along with rise in temperature of water they gradually increase the speed of the fan rotation.

Attention: At "ON" IGNITION in case of being inside the hysteresis the condition "O" is set up.

At OFF of the fan, the exhaust outlet becomes DEF.

Regulation of suction aperture

Manual regulation.

Out of five positions VENT, B/L, HEAT, H/D, DEF. it is possible to choose MODE. Each time by pressing MODE S/W switching on the cycle is possible.

Thermal regulation.

Depending on necessary temperature of suction air it is switched, as shown below. Regulation of the air stream movement (regulation of water heating).

Attention: At "ON" IGNITION in case of being inside the hysteresis the condition "O" is set up.

When at the started heater, the an air stream temperature has not reached the necessary temperature, the fan stops and it is given a straight line having blown bodies of the person by the air stream from exhaust apertures DEF.

Regulation of sucking aperture

Manual regulation.

There are two positions: circulation of internal air and receipt of external air. Switching is made S/W.

Automatic control.

As shown in figure, it is lower depending on temperature of external air TAOF it is switched to circulation of internal air, receipt of external air.

Attention: If again by decision of TAOF, begins FRS, after that FRS before deenergizing of ignition.

Attention: At "ON" IGNITION in case of being inside the hysteresis the condition "O" is set up.

 

Regulation of compressor

Manual regulation.

Mode of the air-conditioner is set up by translation А/С S/W in "ON" or "DEF" S/W in "ON", and adjusted in ON-OFF according to temperature of an exhaust outlet of the evaporator.

Regulation of temperature.

Depending on temperature of external air the compressor is translated into mode ON-OFF and depending on change of the condition of a thermode.

Attention: At "ON" IGNITION in case of being inside the hysteresis the condition "O" is set up.

 

MAX regulation.

If to set up the minimal temperature 18°С or the maximum temperature 32°С, then with regard to automatic work irrespective of change of gauges there is a regulation on the maximal mode of cooling and heating.

Adjustment of temperature 18°С: this start of the air-conditioner (it is set up by temperature of the evaporator), ventilation - exhaust, ventilation of the saloon air, the maximum speed of the fan rotation, painting of the flap.

Adjustment of temperature 32°С: this switching-off of the conditioner, heater - extract, receipt of external air, opening of flap. Regulation by the electric motor.

Regulation by the electric motor.

The engine of control.

The engine of control has the built - in potentiometer set up on the corner of rotation. Controller of the air- conditioner, due to FEED BACK of pressure of the potentiometer, adjusts corners of rotation of the electric motor on positions MODE.

Current of the electric motor drive:

  • Nominal 0,15 А;
  • Limiting 0,75 А.

General resistance approximately 6 kOm.

At the appendix 5 V:

  • 1,0 V — VENT;
  • 4,0 V — DEF.

Pressure between plugs 4 - 3 in case of the appendix of pressure 5V to 5 and connections 3 with "weight".

The electric motor of air mixing.

It is adjusted by the controller of the air-conditioner and simultaneously with actuating of air mixing flap. It changes the temperature of suction air, connecting with the cable the water valve regulating current of warm water in the heater radiator.

In the control block the air-conditioner is present the built - in potentiometer which is set up on the corner of rotation and due to the gauge of pressure of the potentiometer, operates rotation of the engine of air mixing in direct or return direction.

Current of the electric motor drive:

  • Nominal 0,15 А;
  • Restriction up to 0,75 А.

General resistance approximately 6 kOm.

At the appendix 5V:

  • 1,0 V — НОТ;
  • 4,0 V — COOL.

Pressure between plugs 4 - 5 in case of the appendix of pressure 5V to 3 and connections 5 with "weight".

Maximum cooling.

As to the engine of the maximum cooling, the block of control of the air-conditioner operates rotation of the engine on two signals of the switch, each time disconnected in positions OPEN, SHUT.

Current of the electric motor drive:

  • Nominal 100 mA;
  • Restriction up to 0,7 A.

Electric motor of internal and external air switching.

As to the engine of switching of saloon and external air, the block of control of the air-conditioner operates rotation of the engine on two signals of the switch, each time disconnected in position REC FRS.

Current of the electric motor drive:

  • Nominal 100 mА;
  • Limiting up to 0,7 А.

Regulation of the air conditioner pressure switch

The switch of the air- conditioner pressure consists of the switch of high and low pressure (the switch of pressure A of the air-conditioner) and the switch of average pressure (the switch of pressure B of the air-conditioner).

The switch of high and low pressure.

If pressure of the refrigerant is too high (caused by corking) or too low (caused by outflow) the switch of pressure of the air-conditioner sends in the block of the fan control a signal on the stop of the compressor.

1 – threefold switch of the air- conditioner pressure
2 – pressure switch (high / low)
3 – average pressure switch

Low pressure

  • From 200 kРа, 2,0 kg/sm3, 28 psi is switched-off;
  • From 230 kРа, 2,3 kg/sm3, 33 psi is switched-on.

(30 kРа, 0,3 kg/sm3, 4,3 psi) there is stipulated an action in these limits.

High pressure

  • From 320 kРа, 32 kg/sm3, 455 psi is switched-off;
  • From 260 kРа, 26 kg/sm3, 370 psi is switched-on.

(600 kРа, 6 kg/sm3, 85 psi) there is stipulated an action in these limits.

Average pressure switch.

If pressure of the refrigerant will reach 1550 kРа at 5,5 kg/sm3, 220 psi), the switch of the air-conditioner sends in the block of control of the fan a signal on change of speed of the fan of the condenser and the fan of the radiator (high speed / low speed).

  • 1550 kРа, 15.5 kg/sm3, 220 psi switched-off;
  • 1250 kРа, 12,5 kg/sm3, 178 psi switched-on.

(300 kРа, 3 kg/sm3, 43 psi) is switched-on / off in these limits.
